HYER STANDARD FOR TASKERS
As a Tasker, you are an Independent Contractor. Working for yourself comes with self-responsibility. Adherence to the Hyer Standard is essential to maintaining your account in good standing. In order to uphold the Hyer Standard for the community, we keep a record of all tasks and policy breaches.
Taskers are classified as either New, Reliable, Watchlist, Disabled, or Probation. This classification can be seen on the tasker’s profile by clicking on the Profile icon from the bottom right corner of the app. The classification is seen by the tasker only; customers do not see a tasker’s classification. A tasker’s classification is determined by the number of tasks the tasker has been scheduled for, the number of tasks the tasker has completed, and the number of breaches the tasker has made for those tasks. Tasker ratings are not currently used to determine a tasker’s classification.
Tasker Breaches are categorized as Late Cancellation, Minor Breach, or Major Breach. A Late Cancellation breach occurs when a tasker cancels a scheduled task within 6 hours or less from the task start time. Minor and Major breaches can include arriving late, not completing a task, acting unprofessionally, no showing to a scheduled task, etc.
New: Taskers who have completed <12 tasks (0-11 tasks) will have the New tasker classification.
Reliable: Taskers who have completed 12 or more tasks and have a breach history of ≤5% Late Cancellations/Major Breaches and ≤10 Minor Breaches for scheduled tasks will have the Reliable tasker classification.
Watchlist: Taskers who have completed 12 or more tasks and have a breach history of between 5% and 17% of Late Cancellations/Major Breaches and between 10 and 20 Minor Breaches for scheduled tasks will have the Watchlist tasker classification.
Disabled: Taskers who have completed 12 or more tasks and have a breach history of more than 17% of Late Cancellations/Major Breaches and more than 20 Minor breaches for scheduled tasks will have a Disabled tasker classification.
A Disabled tasker classification will result in a suspension from the app which could be for 7 days, 14 days, 30 days, or Permanent. Suspended taskers will be logged off the app and will not be able to log back into the app until the suspension has completed.
Probation: Taskers who have completed a suspension (7 days, 14 days, or 30 days) will have a Probation tasker classification. The Probation classification will remain for 30 and if no additional breaches are made, the tasker will then move back to either the New or Reliable classification (depending on the number of completed tasks).
Taskers with a Watchlist classification who breach and move to the Disabled classification will be suspended for 7 days. After the 7 days, they will be re-enabled and placed on Probation. If the tasker breaches again while on Probation, they will move to Disabled and be suspended again for 14 days this time. After the 14 days, they will be re-enabled and placed on Probation. If the tasker breaches again while on Probation, they will move to Disabled and be suspended again for 30 days. After the 30 days, they will be re-enabled and placed on Probation. Any tasker who breaches while on Probation after completing a 30 day suspension will be marked as Permanently Disabled and will not be allowed back on the app.
Any tasker who is on Probation for 30 days with no additional breaches will move to either New or Reliable (depending on the number of completed tasks).
Taskers with the New classification will be placed on Probation after 1 breach. They will then follow the rules listed above; if they breach while Probation, they will be disabled for 7 days; a 2nd breach (after completing the 7 day suspension and being placed on Probation) will result in being disabled for 14 days, etc.
